Annual Youth Council meets concurrently with Annual Diocesan Council, the once-yearly gathering of the Diocese of Mississippi to review and shape the mission and ministry of the Episcopal Church in Mississippi. This event is for senior high students, 9th - 12th grade.

During the weekend, youth participants spend some time at Annual Diocesan Council, supporting the youth delegates and alternates to Council, participating in various worship experiences, and listening to presentations by various diocesan ministries, such as Gray Center and Camp Bratton-Green. The youth prepare and participate in a presentation on youth activities, and also prepare and lead all of Council in Noonday Prayers.

During the evenings and on Saturday afternoon, youth participants have their own program back at the host parish. There are opportunities to discuss issues addressed by the resolutions that Annual Diocesan Council is considering, as well as those mentioned in the Bishop's Address. Of course, there is also plenty of time for the usual spirituality, big fun, getting messy, and just plain being yourself!!
